If you have 2 weeks you might have time to get through all of them probably. All of the old questions “Basic thru Miscellaneous” aren’t as much as you think. I think I got through all of 9-11 and half of 12 and all of “old” questions Basic-Miscellaneous in a week studying 4 hours / day. Basic-Misc. are not as many Q’s as you think.

I did a total question count of the amount of questions in all sections to help me get an idea of the amount of work in each section. All the new questions = 548 all the old equal 318. Here ya go…

    SECTION # of Questions
    New Q 10 95
    New Q 11 82
    New Q 12 114
    New Q 13 102

    New Q 15 51
    TOTAL 548

    CDP LLDP 8
    Switch 4
    VLAN and Trunking P1 10
    VLAN and Trunking P2 5
    STP VTP 13
    Etherchannel 5
    TCP UDP 4
    IP address & Subnetting 9

Discussion about New or “old questions” So my post from 2/20/25 started a discussion about how many Qs from New Section vs Basic – Miscellaneous and what was meant by my reporting of what people said. There were only a few entries where people made any comment so it wasn’t too difficult for me to go back and check my notes (after digging them out of recycle bin next to my desk. All about service here folks! )

I may have misinterpreted some of what people meant, but here are the exact quotes and dates and who said it so you can go back and discern for yourself.

I personally have studied ALL of the basic-misc and ALL of 9-12.5 in the New section. Soon I’ll stop doing labs and start doing composite quizzes. If I don’t do well there I’ll go back and finish ALL of the New Questions, 12.5-15.

    Good Luck All, quotes below

    Anonymous 12/9/24
“All my 3 labs were from here and only about 7 questions were new on the exam.”

    Anonymous 1/22/25
    “thankyou 9tut. 86 questions. part 1-15.”

    I failed Today! 1/24/25
“I took the exam today after studying the 1-15 new questions. I didn’t get through all of them i got 1-9 and 12-15 so I missed 9,10, 11. So most of the questions I got must have come from those three I missed because I didn’t recognize the questions. I got a handful that i knew but the majority i didn’t. ”

    Anonymous 2/6/25
“I can only confirm a handful of questions came from the 1-15, but i didn’t finish them all.”

    2/6/25 Tamaki
    “89 questions, 5-7 new question,3 labs”

@9tut can you edit the question count post from above to be from me and not CiscoGuy? Thanks. Was supposed to say @CiscoGuy in the body.

What do you think “new questions” refers to in this comment section? I believe it means questions that haven’t been documented on the website yet. Normally, 9 tut would add these “new questions” to the new questions section on a regular basis, but there haven’t been any updates recently. Hopefully, they’ll add them soon before the exams.

  17. @Pedroski
    February 24th, 2025

Why did you leave out Part 5 to 9 under “new questions” section?

  18. Alternate
    February 24th, 2025

Hey everyone, just passed my exam today, 86 quiz and 3 lab, there are small number amount of new question, I think it’s less than 3 question, the rest of the quiz can be practiced here as they are exactly the same as here. As for the lab I got IPV4&IPV6 Assignment, Voice VLAN, and LACP, Thank you 9tut for the wonderfull learning experience, and I wish all of you good luck on your exam ^-^

  19. @Alternate

Can do share what subnets you were asked for IPV4&IPV6 Assignment?

    I passed the exam yesterday.
    89 questions and 3 labs
Lab 1: VLAN and CDP simulation 2
Lab 2: Named access list simulation and DHCP snooping (I didn’t do it)
Lab 3: Voice VLAN configuration simulation.

I’ll tell you about my experience in order to pass the exam, I reviewed questionnaires 1 to 10 only once and 14 and 15 several times, from there I took the 20-question tests about 5 times, the 50-question tests about 5 times, the first few times I got 50% out of 100%, the questions I failed I reviewed again, especially trying to understand how to solve them (the images with cases like OSCP, SUBNETS, WIFI AP, etc, etc). With the above results, I decided to take the 100-question questionnaire about 5 times, and each time I took it again I improved my score, reaching up to 65%. On the other hand, I solved labs mainly on VLAN, LACP, CDP, Static Routing, PORTCHANNEL, nothing else. But here I think I should have dedicated more time to the labs because if I had to do other labs in the test I might not have passed the exam.

I hope my experience can be useful to CCNA applicants.

Note: I paid 2 months here first and then one more month because I needed to study the questions a little more telehack64″at”gmail.com

Thank you fellas! Thanks for all the input. I didn’t get through all the new questions because I ran out of time. I have since gone back and have studying them from 1-15. I’m good on the labs. I was just wondering did most of the questions come from the “new” or “old” section. Thanks again Pedroski

I forgot i’d left out 5-9 in new questions till someone mentioned it on here. I left them out because I had done all in those sections when I decided to see how many questions were left for me. Sorry about that. Maybe someone can count those and add them below?
