pur@v 04-25-2010 vrm I was confused too as there were lots of dumbs but I download one and stick to it i suggest test inside and pass4sure, I dont know version see this comments as decide. lots of questions are common so doing only 1 or 2 dumb will do, if your basic is clear use your common sense to choose the answers if you don't know the exact answer.

MuslimZ 04-28-2010 Alhamdulillah I took my CCNA today and didn't pass. Got 796 I only started studying a week ago and had to take the test since voucher was expiring today. I studied about 96 questions from testinside All Simulation - EIGRP (diffrent IP's) + VTP + ACL2 from 9tut ( i got all those right ) too bad I didn't pass I think with 10 days ( 6 hours a day ) of Testinside + cbtnuggets and 9tut should do it. unfortunately I only had 7 days and by this morning I had information overload anyways I was wondering if I take it again in 3 weeks would I get the same SIMs? Devil's Advocate 04-30-2010 First of all, 9tut you rock! Period I took my CCNA exam today.. 936/1000.. Got 3 Sims.. EIGRP, ACL2, VTP.. EIGRP and ACL2 were same as that of 9tut.. While VTP one was little bit modified.. Dumps from Test Inside v17.11 and Pass4sure (609Q).. Don't know where I went wrong.. But overall a decent effort considering the fact I studied only for a week.. Again 9tut.. Thanks a lot.. It would not have been possible without your sims.. Thanks!

kaitai 04-30-2010 Did anybody experience the SIM error when doing the test? For ex : I can do "sh int fa0/0" 'sh int fa0/2" without any error but when I do "sh int fa0/1" it kept on complained fa0/1 has error. On the question, it has the int fa0/1 with an IP. The request is to reconfigure the IPs to make connection work. Did I do anything wrong or the SIM has problem? Thanks!

Same labs Eigrp, vtp and access list, still the dumps are same there is no change so go ahead. In the acces list You might give permission host A instead of host C, ips are different. Here is my approach: read the Sybex book attended a week long course (sposored by my employer) again read the Sybex book visited this 9tut site and learned the Sims tried some practice exams (pass4sure TI) just to make sure how Cisco questioning and answering works (works like hell to me) Best luck to all of you ! Your test is more correctly than TestInSide 17.11. In my exam, I met about 3 questions that are difference with TI 17.11, I decided to do as Mashti, so I has corrected. My questions is 95% in Mashti's GoAndPass CCNA 338Q&A (It's the same TI 17.11, but more correctly. If you want to download it, let see 04/22/10). There are 3-4 new questions, one question belong to VLSM and one is about file IOS incorrect (IOS incorrect is the answer, I don't remember the question exactly). My lab is VTP, EIGRP, ACL sim 2 - the same with 9tut. The IP address is changed. In VTP lab, SW-AC3 has higher revision number than Swx, SW-AC3's revision number is 9 and Swx's one is 6, so all vlan information of Swx is replaced with information of SW-AC3. Drag&Drop question is bandwidth, cost, load. Finally, really thank to 9tut. Wish all of you will pass the exam.

(in my honest opinion)... i passed ccna 05-05-10.. my advice: make sure u grasped all the concept not just memorize the lab and dumps (TI, P4S)... My Resources: 9tut + subnetting + TI 17.11 312Q in my exam, VTP lab seems to be so different. there are questions that are not included here in 9tut and wat would help you is the knowledge u have within that subject. there is one questions there about subnetting: eg. given the address: 172.22.0.0./23 with subnetmask /27 how many subnet addrses and how many host would it be within that subnet.. (something like that.. could remember the exact give)... on TI make there are some answers that are incorrect.. Watch out. Prayers is the ultimate source above all... thanks be to God..

efficient 05-08-2010 does anyone know the correct answer to the "new" drag and drop question about the comparison of wan technologies? to me this combination sounds reasonable: leased line advantage: quality disadvantage: limited flexibility circuit-switched advantage: cost disadvantage: low speed packet-switched advantage: efficient disadvantage: more complex but the answer in TI is a bit different. would love to hear your opinions (especially from ones who had this question on the exam and had 1000/1000). thanks

gerson 05-08-2010 @efficient circuit-switched disadvantage is very expensive but the circuit is just for you so = GREAT BANDWIDTH but doesnt have redundancy so if your circuit fail thats it for your wan network packet-switched is a lot cheaper than circuit-switched but you must share the bandwith with lot of people but the circuits just works when is needed and besides have alot of redundancy because the VC picks differents routes

efficient 05-09-2010 @Anonymous yes, this is the answer from TI, but I'm not so sure about it, because packet switched is often described as "efficient" since it efficiently uses the bandwidth available in the core network, while circuit-switched wastes it because the circuit-switched path is always open and resources are reserved even if you are not transmitting anything. also, i know that packet-switched is cheaper compared to leased lines, but not so sure whether it's cheaper than circuit-switched or not.

David 05-09-2010 Passed with 949/1000 last friday (May 7th). Labs were almost the same (EIGRP, VTP troubleshooting and ACL sim 2), just some changes in IPs and ports, so ensure to understand the scenario. I used pass4sure 8.14 and testinside 17.12 to study the questions and there were some new questions in the exam (most about frame relay and WAN in general). There were some easy drag & drop questions. I think they were the same than there are in this website, at least be in testinside. Thx very much to 9tut! and good look to everyone who's preparing that cert.

Ash 05-09-2010 Hi All, Passed my CCNA today with 980/1000, and without a doubt it was only possible due to 9tut, and all the helpful people that shared there experiences. So I thought I would return the favour. Lab Sim: ACL 2, EIGRP and VTP Troubleshooting, All can be found on this site. My BIGGEST advice is to understand the concepts and not just memorise, coz they change it up (IP addresses, Ports e.t.c), second peice of advice i would give is to know sub-netting, including super-netting i got a few question on this topic. In general you should be able to look at an address and list: 1. No. of Hosts 2. No. of Sub-nets 3. Blocksize of address space Also I used TI 11.72 and 17.11 to prepare, but be aware that some of the answers are not right so be carful. Lastly, I gotta do CCNP now does any one know of any good sites similar to 9tut for the CCNP equivalent, will be much appreciated. Thanks Guys and Good Luck to all

JSK 05-11-2010 I took my CCNA 640-802 exam on May 10th. Unfortunately, I should have used Testinside and 9tut. I received a 770 on it. (I used certifyme.com.) The lab sims for me were Access-List 2, EIGRP and VTP. When I retake the exam next week will the sims be the same, but with different numbers/values for everything? Also, will every single exam question be different, but still be from the same pool of questions from the Testinside 17.12 version? Thanks.

As a result, I was not expecting the sims on the exam -- and wasn't fully prepared for these: Access-List 2, EIGRP and VTP. Also, a bunch of the questions on the exam that I took weren't in my certifyme.com study guide. However, after taking the test I noticed that these questions were in the Testinside Version 17.22. When I retake the exam next week will the sims be the same, but with different numbers/values for everything? Also, will every single exam question be different, but still be from the same pool of questions from the Testinside 17.12 version? Thanks.

JR 05-12-2010 Used TI v 17.12 myself today and got 988/1000, however there were 5 new questions I know I got wrong. Everyone needs to remember, Cisco uses the CCNA to test a pool of 30 new questions, and each of us will roughly get 5. These are ungraded and do not affect your score so when you run across it use your logic and try it. Just remember this fact because they have been doing it for years.

Ali 05-13-2010 well i did my CCNA today and passed with 898, i had a total of 50 questions most of those question came from pass 4 sure and 9tut. i got the vtp sim, the new ACL sim and eigrp sim all from 9tut. i messed up on the ACL forgot to apply the access-list on Fa0/0. gotta thank 9tut for all the sims that i used in packet tracer

saikiran 05-13-2010 hi , I cleared CCNA with 949 ,, i started with CBT nuggets, todd lammle and then dumbs(pass4sure 7.73 and testinside 17.12) i took 2 month for preparing and 3 days for dumbs. pass4sure 7.73 and testinside 17.12 i think only one Question was out of Testinside 17.12 rest came from this dumbs. just be sure with all show commands, i mean what details are available from which commands.because EIGRP and ACL was easy ,but u need to know the show commands for VTP to answer the simulation thanks 9tud.............

Ravi 05-14-2010 Guys I passed today :) scored 1000 :) Thanks to 9tut for the heads up about the labs. Labs were VTP, EIGRP and ACL2. IP's were changed of course. Change in 1 VTP question, have tell which port for interlan comm. , you have to select port connected to your router. ACL2 have to permit just the other host. Read from P4s 17.12 and Mashti 346q. In P4S some questions are not correct. So use Mashti 346q Also. Drag and drop were different access group,vty password console password etc AND in 2nd D&D have to match destination with routes. Read the books I used all 3 :) By the way mostly All dumps have the same questions. so no need to be worried Best of luck to everyone keep posting here if you need help

Ja 05-14-2010 Few questions... I have been studying on Mashti 346 questions aka Testinside 17.12. There is section NONE with 41 questions with Drag and Drop questions. I was wondering is that enough for passing CCNA exam? I know that I also have to learn simulations on 9tut but... here are comments saying that 3 simulations are on cert and they are EIGRP, VTP and ACL2. I also know that can be changed. So my question is... 1) do I need to learn everything in sections CCNA-WAN, CCNA-LAB SIM, CCNA-TROUBLESHOOTING 1 AND 2, CCNA DRAG AND DROP 1,2,3,4 etc. because there is more drag and drop questions here on site in CCNA sections than in Mashtis .vce file and Testinside? 2) Is there 9 questions in CCNA VTP simulation on cert or less question? 3) Are simulations only in section CCNA-LAB SIM? 4) There is a pool of 10 simulations or more? Can anyone help me with that? Thanks in advance.

Ravi 05-15-2010 @Andy NO, subnet masks and address were given and you have to match the next hop i think. Its there in P4S 17.22. @JSK I meant that you have to allow host D instead of host C. Nothing was different so don't worry. @NEO I completed the exam in around 40-45 mins, I could have done faster but i double checked my answers, you should also read twice before moving to next question. You can't take rough paper or anything with you. They give you a marker and sheet to do calculations. I took 2 LOL i also used it for writing important details. @Yemi you can easily find the links here and USE TI 17.22 and Masthi 346. USE TI 17.22 and Masthi 346Q, Masthi is correct. There is a difference between 9 and 5 questions in VTP. You have to spend more time to answer 9 questions instead of just 5, so that is the reason I have asked that question. I was expecting a perfect score, don't know what happened. Test result says that I scored 67% in WAN, so I guess that is where I made a couple of mistakes. Most questions were pretty much the same from the website except a few like these: Small change in ACL where Host A is to be allowed access to the Web Server instead of Host C as mentioned on the website. New questions (probably the experimental ones) : 1. I got this one from another site. I got this wrong. While troubleshooting an issue with your frame relay network, you issue the “show frame pvc” command as shown in the exhibit below: You’re a network administrator at a Certifyme branch office, that’s connected to the central headquarters by means of Frame Relay. You’ve been getting complaints that the connection has suddenly become slow, so you make the assumption that there’s too much traffic going through the link. Taking into consideration the above output from the ’show frame relay pvc’ command; which command output value is indicating that there’s congestion between the local router and the corporate site? CCNA Study Guide by Richard Deal (A very good book.) 31 Days Before Your CCNA Exam by Allan Johnson (A good book for review.) For my final review before the exam, I purchased the study guide from certifyme.com. Don’t use certifyme.com – their study guide is outdated! As a result, I failed the CCNA exam on my first attempt with a score of 770. (I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get my money back or not.) I took the exam again today and passed with a score of 940! I passed today because of Test-Inside (Version 17.12), and being able to practice all of the sims on 9tut – especially EIGRP, VTP, Access-list 2. The three sims that I had on the exam today were EIGRP, VTP and Access-List 2. (There were some minor modifications like the IP addresses, VTP port numbers and the EIGRP autonomous system number.) Good luck.

EiGRP- ip addresses are changed....rest all same... ACL2-they changed the hosts and ip address concept is same.... guys plz make sure u read the whole tutorial donot skip it....coz they mention very imp info in it which will be used fro us in the VTP sim....bcoz of not listening to the tutorial i messed up wid the VTP lab and so i was not able to score 1000/1000..... rest all dumps are same guys.....do not get tensed in the exam..... ther was on new ques guys about two routers running eigrp 44...blah blah blah....i dont wxactly remeber the ques but answer is no auto-summary..... tats it guys....ALL THE BEST U ALL.....!!!

Thanks to 9tut for a wonderful website and all those who contribute by sharing their experience. In VTP the sw-AC3 was root for VLAN 1, also on the vlan update it updated itself so beware. EIGRP AS number was 112 and IPs were changed. Overall the exam experience was awesome.

Saeed 05-19-2010 Guys I think answer to Q302 in the testinside v17.12 346q engine should be A,C,E not C,E,F. Option F Says, This switch must be root for ALL VLANS, however the output is shown from the command "show spanning-tree vlan 30", which means, the switch is root only for vlan 30 not all vlans (keeping in mind "Per VLAN Spaning Tree - PVST"). I have also seen Actual test 622q, and they have also explained that, this switch should not be root bridge for all VLANs Anyone agrees/disagrees?

Assassin 05-19-2010 @saeed 1) RSTP is configured not PVST as you have said 2) Therfore when RSTP is running the ports are in DISCARDING OR LEARNING OR FORWARDING state. 3) For the switch to b a root bridge all the Ports needs to be in designated state Which it has. And it priority(BID) is lower than the default priority. Therefore the answer is CEF as in Testinside. also read Mashti 346Q which has right answer and explanations.

Will the switch be root for ALL vlans or just VLAN 30? I personally strongly think that this switch is root for only VLAN 30, and not all the VLANS, therefore option F is not correct, and option A is correct which states your point number 2: "When RSTP is running the ports are in DISCARDING OR LEARNING OR FORWARDING state"

ydnam 05-20-2010 passed CCNA got 1000/1000 9tut, thanks a lot you're really great all the sims(vtp, eigrp & acl2) given are correct except minor changes in IP's & AS number) as long as you know the concept and how it works. don't just memorize the answer in 9tut sims, you need to study it carefully how set the configuration based on the given scenario. Mashti 346 & testinside 17.12 are also big help. but Mashti 346q is much accurate than testinside for CCNA reviewer. take a good rest before the exam, and don't come in a rush in testing center it's better to got 30 to 40 minutes in advance to keep you relax before the exam. Saeed 05-20-2010 Just passed the ccna 640-802 exam =) Got 987/1000 (got 93% in VLANs. Not sure why i lost 13 marks in that :-/ ) *As soon as i entered the exam cabin, and press the start button to start the exam, cisco gave a 10 minutes video tutorial about the exam. I had already seen it on cisco's website, so i took advantage of that time and while the tutorial was running, i made an SUBNETTING IP LOOKUP CHART on the erasable board which was provided to me. It really helped in subnetting/route summarization questions, and i saved some time too by making the table during the tutorial time period & not in the actual time period of the exam. *Testinside 346q perfectly valid (except for the wrong answers ofcourse/see my post related to corrections in testinside for details) mashti 346q.vce really helped, so did achme 346q.vce *Drag n Drop question in which you have to drag n drop source and destination ip/mac addresses was bit changed. In dumps packet is moving from host to ftp server. In exam the packet was moving from ftp server to pc/host. So had to made changes accordingly. Another Drag n Drop was: DTE, PVC, LMI, DLCI one *LAB Sims were ACL2 (allow a host and deny others to access webserver on intranet), EIGRP (Interior router was PLACED to the right of Main Router not below it, like in testinside or 9tut) & VTP (In vtp lab, the switch AC3 for which we had console access, WAS the server in VTP and therefore it updated its vlan db locally. ? & Tab worked perfectly in LABS. Don't forget to copy running-config startup-config in the end. *A few new questions. One was really twisted and i think that is the one i got wrong (may be). It was about Router on a stick inter-vlan routing. There was a topology with a router on a stick and three vlans attached to it via switch. Question was: all interfaces are defined and assigned proper ips. All vlan clients are assigned proper ips and gateways. Which configurations are now required on the router. choose from the following options: A. Router(conf)#router ospf xx network x.x.x.x network x.x.x.x B. Router(conf)#router eigrp xx network x.x.x.x network x.x.x.x C. Router(conf)#router rip network x.x.x.x network x.x.x.x D. No other configurations required I chose "D", coz i think running a routing protocol is not mandatory for router on a stick scenario. Dunno wether i lost 13 marks for this question or some other VLAN related question. *Another new question was a topology with two routers connected point to point with serial link, and with ips assigned to serial links and fastethernets of both routers.show ip interface brief showed that s0/0 and fa0/0 was up of a router and s0/1 was "administratively down". Question was: How many interfaces are having problems. As both related interfaces were "interface is up / line protocol is up". I chose "NO INTERFACE IS HAVING PROBLEMS" coz s0/1 was administratively down/manually shut down. there was no problem with it. *Another new question was about route summarization. but it was no problem, coz i know how to summarize routes quickly and the IP LOOKUP Table really helped me do it quickly. *Exam time was 2hours coz i got grace 30 minute period due to belonging to non native english speaking country. i finished in about 1 hour (Taking as much time as i required on Simulations, coz they hold the most relevant marks) & going through the multiple choice questions quickly *Last but not least, thank you certcollection.org, testinside, mashti, actualtests, passguide, 9tut.com, cisco press, todd lemle, my teachers and everyone else who helped me out and prayed for my success. Saeed 05-20-2010 @9tut - In VTP simulation question "From which switch did Sw-Ac3 receive VLAN information?" when i did show vlan status in the actual exam today. it gave me ip address of local switch and i noted that local switch was acting as server. so i selected the option swac3 (locally). You may please update this in the simulation for other to understand as well. I hope this helps. And Thank you so muchhhhhhhh for this wonderful site =) couldn't have passed easily without it

Graphics on sim's are almost same looking with a little change in placement of equipment. e.g. as i mentioned earlier, the interior router in EIGRP sim was placed to the right side of the main router instead of exactly below it. To get a hang of overall exam & sims graphics go to: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/wwtraining/certprog/training/cert_exam_tutorial.html This is almost the same tutorial which is shown to candidates before the cisco's actual exam. I got almost all questions of subnetting same as in Testinside, except for a one new route summarization question. Hopefully testinside would have included the new questions in their latest 356q updated exam engine.Good luck for your exam

Access-list and EIGRP some changes like IPs, another things like on 9tut. VTP some changed: Switch to which we connected via console is VTP Server and root for Vlan 1. Got two new questions: You have a network 172.17.32.0/23 how many subnetworks /27 you can have and hosts. Answer is 16 subnets with 30 hosts in each. Another question I've failed - about VLAN 1002-1005, was need to choise two answer. This is a defaults vlans but why they need I didn't remembered.

Security Weakness Questions/ C 05-22-2010 I failed the CCENT by one point and besides one sim that I know I got wrong I had a couple of questions on looking at a running-config for security weakneses. I don't recall the material in any of the books and have not seen it on any dumps. I did see another refrence to it on this website. As I recall it showed a black screen with a running-config and wanted me to find the problems security wise. Can anyone point to a link where someone has more information about this questions?

You have to look at the output for City#show ip interface brief (which is missing in TI exhibit) - there you have all the interfaces listed that participate in that range of network statement (192.168.12.64 0.0.0.63.)

Labs are same i got VTP,EIGRP (but diiferent ip's from 9tut so better understand the concept) and ACL 2 Thanks 9tut & all others who responded with the latest versions n lab q's .

yo 05-23-2010 Yes, "Tab" and "?" are working on the labs and this is can be very helpfull, I wrote each my step on the exam with "?" as result passed exam 987/1000. Also when I got my VTP lab, I fogot some commands, start nervous, then I entered "?" read all available commands, found what I need and passed the lab. So I'm recommend you to use "?" on labs for find commands and write command correctly.

Bdizzle 05-25-2010 First of all thank you to 9tut and other users who provided insight rather then bragging after completion. Scored 987/1000 in the exams today. All questions were from Mashti.356q. I used this and Testinside 17.14. I recommend Mashti, why? Because it will allow you to actually practice the drag and drop questions. Testinside has the same amount of questions but about 13 extra drag and drop you don't need. Mashti answers are more accurate as well. I blame my missed question on nerves. I had VTP, ACL2, and EIGRP. Just stay cool on these and know the concepts! They will be changed a little for example EIGRP for me was eigrp router 23 not 212. Little things, know the concepts. DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE YOUR CONFIGS! I hate to admit this but just memorizing mashti 356 and doing those 3 practice exams will get you a pass. However, when your boss asks you to do something i hope you know. Also, I got the operational, layer 1, layer 2, and port disabled | antispyware, antivirus drag and drops. This is my second time around and finished in an hour thanks to testinside 17.11 and 9tuts labs. I had Eigrp, VTP, ACL2 Great site and thanks again to 9tuts.

To Shibu 05-26-2010 if the summary address is 192.168.176.0/21 the block of addresses is : 192.168.176.0 - 192.168.183.255 Then you have to choose adrrese from this block, in this case it would be option 2 and 5

I am Rami From LIbya Just Passed 961/1000 I studied From TI Mashti 354Q and the Labs From 9tut The Exam tooooooo easy ,,, it's time to pass the CCNA .... just do the (EIGRP ,Vtp and ACL2)LABs ... the VTP is the little bit hard 4 Qs ok and one is hard , understand the concept and goooo .... the IP address changed at the sim that's all for the Multi Choice Qs it's more than easy THanks 9tut for your effort .... really thanks any Q I am here ;)

Anonymous 05-26-2010 i suggest to study mashti to everyone.. there is no wrong answers in that dump. like: What causes the router to load from TFTP? Choose two. Answer: 1. It has specific boot commands... 2. Failed to found a valid IOS image from flash.. Also, which switch serves as designated role that services the printer? Answer: SW3 ( the one under ACCESS area and with lowest MAC ) Some are wrong with TI.. Labs were the same, with minor modifications: like for ACL2, allowed host is HOST D - for VTP sims, simply know the show commands and you will do well - for EIGRP, same AS 212 Multiple questions were easy if you study the Mashti.. took the exam is less than an hour and scored 1000/1000.. Goodluck to all! Got 1000 points

Mahmoud 05-26-2010 I passed the exam today,all questions from Mashti except 3 new questions but there are easy. Labs were (EIGRP,ACL2,VTP),in the VTP lab sw3 was root bridge(all ports are desg),also SW3 received its vlan information from it self(locally). Thanks for 9tut and all.

Mahmoud 05-26-2010 @shakir If we see 80 in binary it will be 0101 0000 And we have summarized address 172.31.80.0 /20,so for any subnetwork to be included in this address ,the 3rd byte in it must start with 0101 (/20) at least and of course network start with 172.31 You will find this condition only in 80.0 & 92.0 92 ----------------> 0101 1100 I wish i could help you

Anonymous 05-26-2010 @Shakir: Supernet: 172.31.80.0/20 - this is slash 20, so u have 16 subnetworks - simpy add this to 3rd octet since this 1st and octet shud remain d same - this is from 172.31.80.0 - 172.31.95.255 subnets can be used with above /20 CIDR of course (ie. /21, /22, onwards)

I just passed today 961/1000 and all what i studied from Is Mashti ..... gooooooood luck but do the sim(eigrp,acl2 and vtp),,, the vtp is little bit hard Man it's time to pass ..... study from Mashti do the sim and go to get the CCNA thats it
