Explanation:

When PC1 requests service from DHCP server (for example, it requests an IP address), it sends a broadcast packet. But R1 router, by default, will not forward broadcast packet and drop it.

For your information, if you want to use the DHCP server from another network (like in this case) you can use the ip helper-address command which will make the router forward UDP broadcasts.

In the real exam you will be taken to a LAB simulation environment but it is, in fact, just a group of 4 multi-choice questions!

there was no new questions, the only stuff i notice was that the answers to the questions were mixed, so you have to understand the answers in p4s and also take your time to pratice the laps that are on this site, i sure you will pass.

Hi Syed , i also failed on labs: the first question was a lab question and a lot of show comands disable. I lost a lot of time on that, no way to answer, and also after no time enough to complete other 2 lab questions and some normal questions. Do exercises on reversal subnet calculation enought to be a speed king on that. Not the same religion, but the God is the same for all humans. God bless us! Good luck!

If its your first time, these are the basics i didnt know when i wrote mine
-During the exam, you can't go back to a previous question.

-simulations constitute most of your marks, i got about 3 and all are on this website, try to know how they work than cramming the commands, you stand a better chance of not forgetting 1 line of command and panicin

-p4s 3.22 will help you with the rest of the questions,

Just passed (hour ago) CCNA score 953. This was my second time. First time was in 2005, and my certicifation expired last year. Didn't use my knowledge on Cisco equipment in the last years

Thanks to 9tut SIM I saved a lot of time and nerves. I finished in 90 min (non English).Without 9tut I don't know If I would have enough luck to pass and finish in time.

I had 5 SIM in flowing order:
Drag and Drop SIM Question
Implementatin SIM
EIGRP LAB Question
DHCP Group of Four question
VTP SIM Question (only 5 Q)

All other question were from TestKing_V23 or p4s23. Both can be found on Rapidshare.

To Harith: C is correct. Here is the explanation "Flow control paces the transmission of data between a sending device and a receiving device. Flow control ensures that the receiving device can absorb the data sent to it before the sending device sends more. When the buffers on the receiving device are full, a message is sent to the sending device to suspend transmission until the data in the buffers has been processed"

In switch troubleshooting. They have given two ip (source and Destination) addresses and ask to find the mac address? I couldnt answer this question.So plz refer.

EIGRP area was wrong with one router and networks was not given for the other router.That is easy.Please make sure that all the router's are working fine after troubleshooting.Ping carries lot of marks.

Be confident with access-lists.

Exam is very easy.All the best to everybody.

2. Yes, it is. But don't stay too long for a question
3. Passing score is 825/1000
4. No new questions added
5. No, and you can't go back
6. You can find useful tips at sodikhov.com forum, candidates share their experience after taking the exam there
Remember to pay attention to lab sim questions, they are very important for you to pass. Write down all commands used in lab sim questions

I passed CCNA today with a score of 965.All sims & questions from 9tut.com and p4s 3.22.As I am working it took 4 months of time for completing Todd Lamle CCNA book and then I worked on the simulations from this site and p4sure questions which helped me in getting confidence.
Also take the packettracer ,it will help in simulation practice

I'm in Ireland but that don't matter question wise as they are taken from a pool, time is a HUGE factor keep an eye on the time, I got the labs from this site and few questions from the p4s, if you do not panic like I did you will be ok, the exam I got was not very hard its just that I rushed it, go over the labs again and again, and SUBNETTING. FYI, Took CCNA exam yesterday 2/29/09. Only 1/3 of P4S 3.22 were on test. Only 1 9tut SIM was on test. Also, I had 4 IPv6 questions on exam. Time was an issue because I took too long on the labs.

And its possible to pass with just 9tut and dumps, however you should have a good understanding as you may: get new questions, have different ip's address and also you so as you can do your job or get passed an interview

I dont understand why P1 can't request for DHCP
and P2 can send a broadcast request

is it because the PC2 just boot up
and PC1 is already has current DHCP?

This is not a sim so you can't enter any command in the router. In fact, you will answer it as a normal multiple choice question.
