You will need Packet Tracer to open these files. It's totally free! You can download this software but you need to register first or you can find a mirror download with google (with keyword "download packet tracer")

Please notice that in real exam, you have to click on host (PC) to access command-line-interface of the router, not the router itself.

I think you loaded that "answered" one instead of the non-answered one.
I just checked and in the non-answered one, the router 3 is configured with EIGRP of 22

Is it just like this simulation environment that we get in exam?

I am confused with the software....

Consider EIGRP Question.... when i clikc router 3 via console, and then click console.... where R3> comes..... i type show running-config .... hwich the command is not getting!!!!

Amaya :

Yes it's normal that you get request timed out on the client PC
Only after you have correctly configured NAT on the router you will get a reply from your ping.
Took me a while to set it up correctly that one with the frame-relay etc...
But everything should work. Just try and answer the question.
You will know it works when your client can ping the ISP server.

Guna :

you need PacketTracer 5.1 installed. It runs in Linux ( Wine ) and Windows.
You can download it from that first link it's called PT5.1.zip
It probably won't stay online for long since it's not really allowed to share that I think

(as for all "request time out is there, when its even finalized) --- i think this is what u meant normal in this simualtion environment..... in exam this will be working correctly rite?....

The passwords of the routers that you cannot access in exam is 'noway'

when you configure rip do you specify it as:

R2-RC(config-router)#network 192.0.2.16
R2-RC(config-router)#end

because 9tut configured it as 209.165.202.0 and 192.0.2.16?

But everybody must note that in p4s 3.22 has some wrong questions such as: question no. 397, 43, etc.

in configuration rip question... how we have to configure the rip.. either we will use the exact subnet number(eg; network 192.168.0.107) or we have to give the network id (for eg: network 192.168.0.0)

To Tj: Please open them with Packet Tracer 5.1

To redlin: You have to use exact subnet number because RIPv2 can use VLSM.
Just click on PC to access router. It will automatically connect you to the CLI of the router. Don't worry, there is just one way to do so you can't miss it!

You should check to make sure they are operating well, but it is not a must

the todd lammle book is fine. just go over through it, making sure you understand everything. its by far the easiest book to understand, especially if you are a beginner. i used it myself.
then if u want to use the dumps to test urself, you can. just make sure that you understand each answers to the questions.
the dumps wont help you in the laboratories, dats for sure. make sure you understand the basics of routing and switching, as well as the protocols. practice with the labs in the todd lammle book, then the labs here at 9tut. use the dumps to find out your weaknesses, as well as build your confidence, but dont rely on it too much.

On the forum and other places, they seem to mention a new OSPF sim lab on CCNA exam. Is this true? I do not see any OSPF lab in the LAB SIM SEction of the site.

I took my exam this morning.
Don't rely on p4s 3.22 because cisco change some questions. Maybe there are 10-15 questions from p4s 3.22 which are still the same.
Lab sim are still the same up til now. I got nat config and rip config.

i´m from portugal, and the exam was changed.
Today I did my exam, and failed!
Missed by little, but failed .... 811 of 825.
the exam was not very difficult, 5 or 6 questions max pass4sure 3:22, plus 5 or 6 of testkings.

2 simulator´s 1 nat other ripV2, 2 news ....

most new questions are about subnetting, OSPF and EIGRP.

I'm a little sad because in my final statistics the results are between 60 and 75% and have 2 to 100%.

i think i have seen in the comments that you dont have to implement teh show commands and they come with the question and so i really didnt pay any heed to the commands. bu tin the exam you have to access the console and use the show commands.
so i used show frame-realy map and show running-config and you can get all the details needed for the questions. btw the qs are similar to those given over here.

i believe it is not new lab, just need to remember the command to show the info for ans rather than pure multiple choice qu

unlucky, I too had the same frame-relay question but during my test I was unable to expand the console screen. When I typed show frame-relay map I was unable to view the DLCI's that pertained to the questions. I do think this was a fault on the test that cost me 4 questions in which I had to guess on.

Did you experience the same problem? A 2" by 2" console window?

Ik think there is something wrong with that configuration sim.
When i viewed the answered one i noticed serial interface is down.
I'm pretty sure a clock rate needs to be set but i can't find that in de answered one so i configured it myself.
Can anyone confirm this, i doubt that the answered one found here helps you pass ccna on this sim

Tried to do configuration sim from the file several times. The serial connection between R1-RT and the new Router seems to be really weird. The line protocol is always down. I've tried to change the cable, encapsulation, clock rates... it is down all the time! is it a bug? I'd like to test the config i made....

you need to set clock rate in the rip config question in order to get serial line up/up. its not set up in the example

Thank you , so much for your effort. I have this question.

One of the labs (in the lab package you have provided above), named : CCNA Implementation questioned.

in that we have to choose right ip address.
For Router2, s0/0, we have two choice : 192.168.153.174/28 and 192.168.153.161/28 two pick from (close ones)

The ip on the other side of this connection is: 192.168.153.172/28 (we can see this ip on the neighbor router by 'show run', based on this ip we have to pick one of the the above two)

Looking that this we cane choose any of the above two as both fall in the same subnet : 192.168.152.160/28

Then what's the reason to choose 192.168.153.174/28 ????

In RIP v2 and in EIGRP if there are discontigous networks the "no auto-summary" has to be used

if its asking for order u didnt follow the instructions
first uninstall it and reinstall using step 1 be sure to disable dcom server process launcher and restart and again and use step 2

i downloaded the P4Sure, and i hav vista when it pops up the mmc services window to disable the Dcom server process the options are all grayed out and i cant disable it.its like my computer is its own administrator and grayed out all the options so that no one can disable it.i need to disable it.help

Hi ! 9tut and all members
I just passed my CCNA exam, I got 986/1000 marks.

Some of the highlights of the exam:
NAT Lab Sim
Ripv2 Lab Sim
Frame-Relay Sim

And also a couple of normal questions that I didn't not see
during my study journey.

The exam is not too dificult. I studied Pass4sure v8.14 and Lab sims
from this Site.

Thanks 9tut. Exam passed today. All the labs from 9tut were into my test, and about 60% of questions of P4S, you have to worry about the other 40% of new questions.

in real life you can type 192.0.2.16, router will fix that for you (will change it for 192.0.2.0)

exam simulator won't be so generous, so make sure you've got it right.
